Frequently asked questions
Will I be asked to write code or solve technical puzzles?
No. Survived never asks you to write code, debug a snippet, or solve a technical puzzle. Every question is about how you think: your judgment, your industry experience, and your honest perspective on where software is headed.
How long does the assessment take?
Most developers finish in 20–35 minutes. It must be completed in one sitting, and each voice answer is capped at 120 seconds.
Can I go back and change an answer?
No. Once an answer is submitted and its recording is safely uploaded, that question is locked permanently. There's no back button and no editing.
What happens if my connection drops mid-assessment?
Anything you've already submitted is saved. You can securely resume from where you left off. We never silently restart your assessment or discard uploaded answers.
Who can see my recordings?
Only authorized Survived personnel. Your recordings are processed internally with our AI models to match you with companies' needs, and are never shared with companies directly. If there's a potential fit, we share a profile summary and facilitate the introduction ourselves. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does completing the assessment guarantee a job or interview?
No. We don't promise employment, interviews, or a match. If a company is looking for someone with your background and you've consented to be considered, we'll reach out.
Is my assessment scored or graded?
There are no correct or incorrect answers, and we don't assign personality labels or automated scores based on your responses.
Can I withdraw my consent later?
Yes. See the Privacy Policy for how to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent, and what happens to your data afterward.
